DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society

Child Youth Empowerment Camp (CYEC) Welcome to children ages 6-18. The primary objective of the camp is to offer group counselling in a safe, supportive environment. The participants can share their experiences, identify and talk about their feelings, improve their self-esteem, enhance communication and conflict resolution skills and emotional regulation. The CYEC is facilitated by trained and experienced counsellors from the following programs: Stopping the Violence, Children Who Witness Abuse (PEACE), Child & Youth Mental Health, Substance Use counselling, and Family Counselling. DIVERSEcity runs two camps over Spring Break and two camps in the summer. Please watch our website at www.dcrs.ca for dates. The Delta and Surrey Police and Fire Departments have partnered with DIVERSEcity and they help educate the participants to enhance their understanding about the impact of abuse, street violence, and bullying at schools. The camps are free and space is limited.

Child Care Options links families and child care providers in the communities of Delta, Surrey and White Rock by offering free consultation, support and child care referral services and subsidy support to parents seeking child care. Child care providers are supported through information, outreach, resource library, networking, and learning opportunities.
