What is our role as educators in children’s play? In this workshop, we are going to explore the humongous, beautiful topic of PLAY! Let’s explore the impact on children’s development, routines in our programs that enhance or take away from play, provocations, loose parts and much more! This workshop will bring stories and story times magically to life by using simple magic tricks, science, and props. Objectives: • To learn simple magic tricks and science to use while telling rhymes, songs, and stories. • To explore how combining magic with stories is sure to hold the children’s attention during story time. Magic stories that will be explored include fall story ideas, pets, safety, rainbows, colours, water, colours, snow, and glow in the dark science. Come play and learn with your child. StrongStarts are Free program for caregivers and children. There is a registration process but it is not required before you come for the first time. McCloskey StrongStart is closed daily from 11:30-1:00 for cleaning and lunch.
