The Family Support Institute of BC (FSI) is a provincial not-for-profit society committed to supporting families who have a family member with a disability (diagnosed or not) through a volunteer peer model. FSI is unique in Canada and the only grassroots family-to-family organization with a broad volunteer base. Our peer mentoring model connects family to each other and shares their lived experiences and provides social, emotional supports along with resources and education. All of FSI's supports and services are free to any family.

Kidsport

Financial Assistance of up to $500 per child per fiscal year is available to assist a child to do organized sport. KidSport believes that every child should have the opportunity to experience the joys of a season of sport. Abundant research exists that proves sport participation enhances academic performance, improves health and develops valuable life skills in the areas of teamwork, socialization, goal setting and time management. KidSport works together the Sport Clubs of Delta to ensure that all children have the opportunity to participate. Applications are available on the website along with a list of the sports that KidSport will support (see “about us”). Complete the application and give a copy to the sport organization as proof of applying to KidSport Delta and this will be taken as the registration fee.
